We represented community members who were peacefully protesting in the wake of George Floyd’s death and were injured when the Denver Police Department used unnecessary and excessive force and munitions against them. We obtained a $980,000 settlement.
In 2017, Northglenn police officers approached a Honda Civic parked in a driveway where Patscheck and Minella were sleeping. The officers fired multiple shots into the car. Patscheck was killed and Minella was left paralyzed from the neck down. We along with co-counsel sued the city of Northglenn and forced them to pay a $8.75 million settlement – the largest in Colorado history for an officer-involved shooting case.
We represented a mother who was also a nurse who was injured in a car crash and suffered debilitating migraines as a result. Over several years of persistent advocacy, we identified and accessed four separate insurance policies, ultimately securing a settlement of over $750,000 for our client.
We had two clients who were shot and severely injured by Denver and Aurora Police Officers when they were shot with “less-than-lethal” weapons while they were peacefully protesting in the George Floyd Protests in Denver in 2020. A woman was hit in a head-on collision. State Farm, her own insurance company refused to make reasonable offers to her previous attorney. He asked Danielle Beem to join the case and we were able to get it settled for $600,000
A dog attacked two handymen working at a private residence. We obtained the full $600,000 liability policy limits on their behalf.
Severe car crash case. The plaintiff recovered but was left with the some on going issues. We obtained more than was available under the insurance policies.
Whitney was severely injured in a crash when he hit a semi-truck tire on Interstate 80 in Iowa. Whitney filed claims for uninsured motorist (UM) benefits with both American Family (the car’s insurer) and his own insurer, both companies denied his claim. Mr. Whitney litigated and ultimately took the case to trial. A jury found in his favor. Whitney then pursued a bad faith claims against American Family and settled.
$50,000.00 full policy limits of two different policies – Car crash. The at fault driver only had a $25,000 policy. We were ultimately able to access another unknown policy for them and collect the limits of that $25,000 policy as well.
Severe crash where the defendant ran a red light and t-boned our client. Fortunately, our client was not horrifically injured. We were ultimately able to settle without extensive litigation.
We took a referral for an older couple who had been rear-ended on the highway. The referring attorney believed there was no insurance coverage, but the couple still had questions about their case and property damage. We met with them to assess their situation and kept digging — ultimately identifying and securing policy limits from three separate insurance policies, resulting in a $380,000 recovery for our clients.
Client suffered a knee injury after tripping over a poorly designed handicap ramp at a shopping center. Settlement of $380,000.
Severe crash, fortunately the Plaintiff recovered well without a lot of medical intervention. State Farm was the liability carrier, and they refused to offer more than $4,000.00. We filed a lawsuit and litigated until weeks before trial. We were ready for trial when State Farm finally caved and settled for $35,000.
We handled a legal malpractice case where the defendants refused to offer a reasonable settlement. We took the case to trial and obtained a jury verdict of over three million dollars.
We represented a teenager who was struck by another driver while riding his motorcycle. The at-fault driver’s auto insurance policy of $100,000 was far too low to cover the extent of his injuries. We located an additional insurance policy and obtained a total recovery of $300,000 for him.
Injured in a car crash the insurance company only offered $9,000 to resolve the claim. Through our representation we litigated and obtained $300,000, which was in excess of the liability policy.
(More than was available under insurance) – This was a tragic case involving a drunk driver who hit my client. His insurance was woefully inadequate. We worked to obtain an amount that was significantly more that was available under the insurance policy.
On May 30, 2020, Denver Police Officers riding on a police vehicle during George Floyd protests, shot Feldmann in the left eye with a pepper ball after Feldmann raised his hands and said, “We’re all Americans.” Despite clear video evidence showing Feldmann posed no threat, Denver police denied responsibility, with none of the officers on the vehicle willing to identify which officer was the shooter. We along with co-counsel sued the City of Denver and the involved officers for excessive force, violation of his constitutional rights, and failure to intervene, and damages related to their shooting out Mr. Feldmann’s eye. We were able to settle the case for $2,300,000.00.
Ultimately obtained, full policy limits (2 policies) $200,000. Mr. Hergenreter was injured in a car crash. We worked to obtain full policy limits of 2 different insurance policies to help Mr. Hergenreter.
A young mother was severely injured when she was T-boned in a car crash. Despite her significant injuries, the insurance company refused to offer more than low six figures to settle, pointing to her pre-existing conditions and treatment choices. We took the case to trial and obtained a verdict of $1,987,663 for the Plaintiff.
3 family members injured and ultimately obtained $1,700,000.00 – A teenager ran a stop sign and crashed into a car with three family members. We were able to locate and access two insurance policies for the teenager and multiple policies for the plaintiff family members. We obtained all policy limits available for $1,700,000.00
We represented 35 plaintiffs who were protesting in the George Floyd Protests in Denver. They were subjected to chemicals, smoke, and pepper balls while exercising their 1st Amendment rights. With our co-counsel we filed a lawsuit against the City of Denver and the Denver Police Department to hold them accountable for violating our clients’ rights. The case was settled mere weeks before trial for $1,438,500.
We handled a UIM claim for a client which we were able to obtain the full policy limit without needing litigation.
